Bang for buck. Go for a full house roll if you're just looking for quantity. Loved the spicy salmon sashimi and crunchy roll. Might be crowded at times.

My parents ordered take out from this place for us and for $50 we had more than enough sushi to feed 5 people. For the price, the quality is amazing. I was extremely suprised and will go back as much as I can.

In terms of quality and pricepoint, it's hard to beat Samurai Sushi. The service is great, and the rolls are HUGE. I almost always get a half order of the house roll, and it is fantastic value. It's the perfect post-swim/workout meal.

It's the most reasonably priced sushi place in Vancouver I have found so far. The rolls are not well displayed but the sashimi seems fresh and the portion is relatively big. Would come back.

Too much rice on their rolls. Quality of ingredients is okay. Ordered a chicken teriyaki, salmon don, katsu curry. All acceptable dishes.

The portion sizes are huge and I mean huge!!! The house roll was the size of my palm and it was cheap! Good prices also. Very fresh sushi, the fish just melts in your mouth. It's definitely not frozen. This is a definite go to. Parking around the area is awful, but it's a good walk.

Historic Sushi place in Vancouver. Good food. Very efficient waitresses. Most have been working there for years. Food is good price is decent considering the large portion. Sushi size are a bit overwhelming: it may feel like you have half a fish in your plate...

Actually, I don’t know why there is so many people come to eat here. I mean the size of Japanese food here are so big and the price is reasonable, but it comes the flavor, I would say there must somewhere else is better than here. Take example of sushi, the fish on the top of rice is not fresh and I can chew rib.

Amazing food with decent prices. I'm from Edmonton so I don't get good sushi that often but the sushi I had here was so fresh and portioned quite large. Oh, and if you order the house roll - a half order is plenty ;)

Huuuuge portions in the combination meals and very tasty Japanese food. I really respect the fact that samurai offers Brown rice options for all menu items. Cosy, simple ambience and plenty of tea refills are given. They have alcoholic drinks too. Definitely go here if you want a good value meal on Davie Street out of the rain.

A consistent favorite for Japanese food. The Udon is delicious and their BC and Crunchy rolls are always well prepared. This place is great for a nice dinner or a quick To go for sushi at home. It's a gem of a place to eat at and I go there often.

Nice spot for sushi as a vegetarian - there are several good options including a natto roll. The maki rolls are big (at least two bites a piece) with lots of filling. Great quality and price.

Always my family's go to Japanese restaurant because it's authentic andrun by Japanese people (not the others run by Chinese, Vietnamese or Koreans) food quality is fresh, service is attentive (someone is always carrying a teapot surveying for empty tea cups) Space is limited so may need to wait outside for a table if busy. They will give you a number card and you wait outside, which could be a bad thing during cold winter times.

Have been going for years. Price/value has decreased. Yes, Big Rolls, BUT fish: filler ratio has drastically changed while prices increased. They shouldn't have Compromised Both price and quality.2 Alaska rolls+ pathetic salmon skin salad (which used to have actual salmon meat- Google what it should look like, not JUST blackened skin. Not kidding. Not a morsel of meat) was $18. Big portions but in a short span of time has become less of a deal. I used to drive from kits to downtown for this, but, sadly, will stick to closer sushi restaurants now.

My friends and I really enjoy this place. The servings are huge. The service is very efficient. I really enjoy having this as a reliable meeting place for my friends and I to get a meal. I also love that I don't have to choose between hot food and sushi--I can order a combination meal. I think it's also refreshing that I continually see the same staff. It seems like they don't have an aggressive turn-over like other restaurants. I often recommend this location to anyone visiting Vancouver and headed to Stanley Park for the day.

The staff were adequate and the restaurant had a decent atmosphere. What really sold me, however, was the food. By far the tastiest and freshest fish I've had at a sushi restaurant. Also, the rolls are stuffed full! They really don't skimp on the rolls which I appreciate.

Took our granddaughter and her boyfriend. The food was amazing. Fresh, large portions, quick service and served with a smile. Just don't find that kind of service much these days. I am recommending it to family and friends. I'd give it a 10.

Oh my goodness this place is incredible. We got two whole meals (mine was tofu teriyaki with rice, miso soup, vegetables, AND huge sushi rolls), more sushi - we left full and with leftovers - all for around £8 EACH including tip (14CAD)!! The storefront might not look like it does the best sushi ever but that’s what makes it so special. The seaweed was perfect and the rice a good flavour and so much filling. We were so shocked at just how delicious and good value it is. Highly recommend.

I stumbled across this place accidentally, and I am glad I did. This is a small space packed with tables that seem to be in high demand. I was there at lunchtime and got one of their lunch specials. Yum! Everything was so fresh, so delicious, I enjoyed eating here immensely. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I am going to come again, definitely.Part 2:I ate there on my first day in Vancouver and kept thinking about coming back every day. So I did.The lunch specials are good-sized meals, prices are low, the quality of food is wonderful. The special rolls are huge, literally the size of my palm. Their agedashi tofu is fantastic. I love this place!

Decent-ish price and good portion. The grills and some deep fried are pretty good, especially the chicken karage, but the rest of the dishes ranges from non-impressive to sub-par. Their tempuras are over battered and extremely greasy and the rice bowls are usually on the salty side. The ingredients however seems fresh and the quality of the dishes are consistent. Service staff are helpful and friendly.

I just called into Samurai Sushi for lunch. It is a small restaurant with a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The food was fantastic, and the fish was of an excellent quality. I opted for a sashimi combo which included miso, sashimi, tempura vegetables, teriyaki chicken (or beef) and rice. It is very reasonably priced and I was blown away by the portion sizes. Very enjoyable, I would highly recommend...
